Victory Rolls Test Run!
I’m doing a special shoot in support of Hoods, Hotrods, and Hellcats! Super duper excited for this weekend. I’ll be doing a set of pinup-inspired looks, and I finally got to try out the hairstyle I want to have for the shoot.
This is my first stab at victory rolls, and I think they didn’t turn out too bad. XD These photos were taken after I commuted to work, and if you’re familiar with public transport in the Philippines, you’ll know how windy it can get. I think I need to invest in a bottle of hairspray for this, because I’m pretty sure my mom wouldn’t be too happy about me finishing off her bottle. D: It held up pretty well, though.
I’ve been having fun with the whole half-real, half-fake hairstyling lately. My real hair’s way too short to achieve this look, so I tweaked the classic victory rolls look a bit and added a high ponytail extension to get the curls.
The makeup’s still half-baked here, but I’ll be working on that soon. Still need to perfect the winged eyeliner! For now, I bid you adieu. Maybe I’ll bring some more behind-the-scenes stuff in my next post!

Makeup saves the day!
Quick makeup look for a sick day. I went from sickly pale to normal-looking in a little under 20 minutes. I can imagine some people saying, “Why would you wear makeup when you’re sick?” I personally don’t enjoy looking like a walking corpse, it’s not my thing. I like to feel pretty when I feel horrible. XD
Spent the whole day curled up in my favorite blanket, sniffling and sneezing at everything. ; A ; I missed work today, because my sore throat prevented me from making sounds at all. I was mute for the day, I can’t teach without my voice. :(
Looks like I might shoot a tutorial of some sort later today, since I can record the voice over for that when my voice comes back. For now, I must return to editing essays.
